The Stations of the Cross

The Stations of the Cross (in Latin the Via Crucis or Way of the Cross) commemorate Christ's final journey from the house of the Roman governor Pontius Pilate to the place of His execution on the hill of Calvary.

As the faithful follow in Christ's footsteps they take time to meditate on that journey and to ask His forgiveness for their part in His sorrows.

The devotions are traditionally led by volunteer members of the parish, and take place especially on Sunday evenings during Lent.
