Built in the Gothic style in 1904 - 1905, the church needed extensive repairs as it approached its Centenary, especially to the Narthex and Choir area at the back. As the presbytery was also in a poor state of repair that was demolished during 2003 and replaced by a modern building in a style that enhanced the appearance of the whole structure.
The internal repairs and the new presbytery were both completed in good time for the Centenary celebrations, and the changes profoundly affected the look of both the interior and the exterior of the church. Further remodelling work during 2006 provided ramp access to the original door, and the Narthex was opened out to form a new west entrance.
The foundation stone remains unchanged, however - an appropriate reminder of our heritage as a parish.
